Home My WebLink AboutRES 910283 - Contract with TXDOT90014 X-1101101Y&Iew i I PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE - WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation has been designated as a supervising agency for the Park & Ride Facilities program by the Office of the Governor, consistent with Texas Civil Statute Article 4413(56), Oil Overcharge Restitutionary Act; and, WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has been approved to received funds in an amount up to $125,000.00 under this program through the State; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, finds that constructing a Park & Ride Facility would benefit the citizens of Georgetown who desire to carpool or use other means of public transportation; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into the attached contract with the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation; and, WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the budgeting of this program in Account No. 04-11-00-5002; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has found this action implements Development Plan 15, Goal D of the Century Plan Policy Plan Element and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies as required by Section 2-03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. NOW, THRREFORE1. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE G171' OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: . The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby f ound and declared to be true and correct and are hereby incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof as if cM•ied verbatim. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and the City Secretary to attest thereto a contract, attached as Exhibit A, with the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
