HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 910315 - IH35 Utility ImprovementsWHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major provider • publicly #wned utilities within its corporate limits, and DIJ Construction • Inc. was the low bidder with a bid • $1,341,207-70, and DOC -• that the City award the construction contract to the lowest bidder, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds safe and efficient •- of utility services is essential to the operation • the City's Public Utilities Division, and that the total DOC construction funds awarded were $342,245.00, the City's portion was $767,625.00, Georgetown Railroad Company's portion was $176,055.00 and Advanced Custom Molders Inc. participation was $79,376.00 is hereby committed to the construction • this project. WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Economic Development Policy 1 of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to •` inconsistent or in • with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: The facts and • contained in the preamble • this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and • made a part ..• as if copied -verbatim.
