HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 910366 - Fund Westinghouse Rd ImproveRESOLUTION WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is the major developer of public streets and roadways within its corporate limits; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient maintenance efforts of public streets and roadways is essential to the operation of the City's Public Utilities Division - Streets and Drainage Department; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Transportation Policy I of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, which states: "The City will encourage a transportation system that provides for the safe and efficient movement of traffic, promotes the economic interests of the community, and adequately serves the personal needs of the individual".; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT: N The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest thereto an inter -governmental agreement with Williamson County authorizing partial funding for Westinghouse Road Improvements on behalf of the City of Georgetown. NMI Loan funds to be extended for the project shall not exceed $120,000.00, and 50% of the loan amount shall be repaid to the City by Williamson County.
