a recreational service to its citizens; and, I
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that qualified lifeguard staff and supervisors are
essential for the operation of the City's aquatic program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown and the Y.M.C.A. find it necessary to amend the
agreement between the two parties to allow payment of total encumbered expenses; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Recreation and
Cultural Affairs Policy #2, which states, "The City will assist in providing all its citizens the
opportunity to participate in recreational and cultural programs", and is not found to be
inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan policies as required by Section 2.03 of
the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Council finds that the recitals set forth above are true and correct and are
incorporated herein as if copied verbatim.
SECTION U
The City Council of the City of Georgetown approves the Agreement Amendment
between the City of Georgetown and the Williamson County Y.M.C.A. attached hereto and
incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length.

The Mayor be authorized to execute the Agreement and the City Secretary to attest
thereto.
