A RESOLUTION APPROVIJG AN INCREASED EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS FOR THE AGREEMENT WITH THE FIFO; OF LLOYD,
GOSSELINR, RYAN & FOWLER, P, C. I FOR CONTINUED
PARTICIPATION IN 'THE REPRESENTATION OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN IN THE RATE PROCEEDINGS AGAINST:BRAZOS
RIVER AUTHORITY;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown wishes to continue its
representation by the law fin of Lloyd, Gosseink, Ryan & Fowler,
P,C., ,in the Brazos RiverAuthority rate proceedings against Dow
Chenipal, et, al.; and
WHEREAS„there is a need for an increased expenditure of funds
for continued participation in the rate proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action
imnlements uril4 ies/Energy, Pol:cy 5, of the CenturyPlan Policy
Plan Element, and is not found to be, inconsistent or rn conflict
with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2,03
of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORCETOWN, TEXAS; THAT:
SECTEON I.
The City Council finds that the recitals set forth above are true
and correct and are adopted herein verbatim as if fully set forth
at length.
SECTION 1I,
TheCity Council approves the increased expenditure of $15,000,00
far the services provided by the firm of Lloyd, Gosselrnk, Ryan &
Fouler, PIC, , payable from the Water Utility Fund for legal and
consultant services in the Brazos River Authority rate proceeding.
SECTION III,
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this resolution and the
City, Secretary to attest.
