A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY! OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND WOODARD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY,
AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT RELATED TO THE
ROCK STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING SHE MAYOR 'TOEXECUTE THE SAME,
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major channelor
of drainage within its corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient
channeling of drainage is essential to the operation of the City's
Public Utilities Street and Drainage Department; and
WHEREAS,Woodard Construction Company was the low bidder of
this project and the City of Georgetown desires to enter into an
agreement for construction services related to the Rock Street
Drainage Project - Project No, 00051, and authorizing the Mayor to
execute the sane; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this action implements
Utilities/Energy Policy of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element
and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other
Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the
Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE„ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SECTION I. That the City finds the recitals set forth
above are true and correct and are incorporated herein,
Section II. That the City Council awards the bid for the
Rock Street Drainage Project, Project No, 00051, and approves the
agreement between the City of Georgetown, Texas and Woodard
Construction Company the low bidder in the amount of $309,360,00
and the funding source shall be General Capital Projects, Project
No; 06-04-005-051, and $39;943,24 from Utility Fund, and all backup
information attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set
forth at length,
Section III, That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
the contract documents and City Secretary to attest.
