HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 900141 - Rate Proceeding Against BRARESOLUTION NO, 7�'Gil A RESOLUTION APPROVING "AN INCREASED EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR LEGAL AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL SERVICES INCLUDED IN AGREEMENT WITH THE FIRM OF LLOYD, GOSSELINE, FOWLER, BLEVINS & HATHENS, PSC,, FOR CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN THE: REPRESENTATION OF THE :CITY "OF GEORGET014N IN THE RATE PROCEEDINGS AGAINST BRA20S RIVER AUTHORITY. {WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown wishes to continue its representation by the law firn of Lloyd, Gosselink, Fowler, Blevins & Mathews, P,C:; in the Brazos River Authority rate proceeding's against Dopa Chemical, et, al,; and WHEREAS, there is a need for an increased expenditure of funds for continued participation in the rate proceedings; and 41HEREAS1 the City Council has found that this action implements Utilities/Energy, Policy 5; of the Century Plan - Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2,03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan, NOW, THEREFORE, BE :IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORCETOi1N,TEXAS, THAT: SECTION I, The City Council finds that the recitals set forth above are true and correct and are adopted herein verbatim as if fully set forth at length. SECTION IL The City Council approves the increased expenditure; of $75,000,00 for the services provided by the firm of Lloyd, Gosselink; Fowler, Blevins & Mathews, P C,, payable from the {later Utility Fund for legal and consultant services in the Brazos River Authorityrate proceeding. SECTION III. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this resolution and the City Secretary to attest.
