A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE, DESIGNATION OF A
RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER FOR THE CITY. OF
GEORGETOWN.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas recognizes the
importance of proper records management for the effective and
economic operation
of local government; and,
WHEREAS, Sec; 203.025 of the Texas Local Government Records
Law specifies that the governing body of each local government
shall designate a records management officer; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Office of City
Secretary is the appropriate position to be so designated;'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, that;
SECTION I
The City Council finds the recitals set forth above are true and
correct and are incorporated herein,
SECTION II
The City Council hereby designates the holder of the position of
City Secretary as the records management officer for the City of
Georgetown.
SECTION III
The City Secretary is hereby authorized to file this designation
with the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Local
Government Division,
RESOLVED this 22nd day of May; 1990.
