WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, Tourism Development
Board, desires to assist in the funding of the 1989 Mayfair
event;
WHEREAS,

budgeted funds to provide for the advertising and promotion of
this event;
WHEREAS, the MayFair Committee agrees to refund to the City an
amount up to $13,000 from the proceeds of the event, if such
proceeds NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS.
That the City Council of the City of Georgetown approves the
funding agreement between the City of Georgetown and the MayFair
Committee for the advertising and promotion of MayFair 1989,
attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth at
length and commits to providing Fifteen Thousand Dollars in
funding from the tourism development budgeted funds, with the
written and understood condition that up to $13,000 of those
funds is to be refunded to the City from the MayFair Committee

I. Term

II. Parties

damages arising from the intentional or negligent acts or
omissions of the COMMITTEE, its agents, representatives,
employees in the operation and performance of the activities
of the MayFair event and any contracts, oral or written,

6. The parties agree that COMMITTEE shall be deemed to be an
independent contractor of the CITY and not an agent or
