HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 890485 - Dove Springs WastewaterRESOLUTION# A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND STEGER AND BIZZELL INC., AUTHORIZING ENGINEERING/CONSULTING SERVICES RELATED TO THE DOVE SPRINGS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLAN, INCLUDING THE STATE REVOLVING LOAN FUND, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SAME. WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas is the major collector of wastewater within its corporate limits, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that safe and efficient collection of wastewater is essential to the operation of the City's Public Utilities Department;, and WHEREAS, Steger and Bizzell Inc., desire to enter into an agreement of engineering/consulting services, related to the Dove Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant including the State Revolving Loan Fund, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the same; WHEREAS, the City Council has found that this action implements Utilities/Energy Policy 3 of the Century Plan, Policy Plan Element, and is not found to be inconsistent or in conflict with any other Century Plan Policies, as required by Section 2.03 of the Administrative Chapter of the Policy Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, SECTION I. That the City Council finds the recitals set forth above are true and correct and are incorporated herein. SECTION II. That the City Council approves the agreement between the City of Georgetown, Texas and Steger and Bizzell Inc., for engineering/consulting services related to the Dove Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant including the State Revolving Loan Fund, and the funding source for this project shall be from Account No. 06-04-00-5002 (06-04-00-5004 Environmental Assessment Study), and all backup information is attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth at length. SECTION III. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the contract documents and City Secretary to attest. PASSED AND APPROVED this / day of , 1989. APPROVED: MAYOR CITY SECRETARY
