Preserve, promote and enhance the cultural heritage and unique character of the community. Attract visitors to maximize the financial impact of tourism on the community. The Convention & Visitor Bureau Board will meet on Friday, November 14 at 8:30 am Convention and Visitors Bureau Office, located at 103 W. 7Street, Georgetown, Texas. MEMBERS PRESENT: Don McCullough, Steven Harris, Ray Dorton, Christy Fisher, Georgene Richaud 10V u 1 0.34 GUESTS: None Motion by Dorton, second by Fisher to approve minutes of October 10, 2014 meeting. Approved 5-0. 3. Discussion and possible action regarding the nomination and election of Board Vice - Chair. 11011i ", NEW !I I! I III I I III I III •• mmmum- Miller presented the new Red Poppy Festival Standard Operating Procedures Handbook and briefed its contents. A brief discussion followed relative to the proposed handbook's content and the Board was advised that additional procedural content would be forthcoming. 9. Discussion and possible action regarding Red Poppy Festival Standard Operating Procedures Handbook. Following a brief discussion, a motion was made by Dorton, seconded by Richaud to approve the Red Poppy Festival Standard Operating Procedures Handbook as currently developed. Approved 5-0. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding advertising and media exposure and dates of upcoming events. Miller briefed the upcoming events which included Ladies Nite Out, Christmas Stroll and the recently conducted AirFest and Georgetown Cyclocross Festival. Volunteers were sought for the annual Lighting of the Square on November 28. Miller informed the Board of the anticipated opening date of the new Hampton Inn in March 2015. Fisher volunteered as the CVB representative for the selection of the official 2015 Red Poppy Festival Poster Art. A brief discussion was held regarding the possibility of a Craft Beer Festival in the Fall of 2015. CVB November Monthly Review is attached. Due to the holidays the December Board meeting will be cancelled — next meeting scheduled for January 9, 2015 at 8:30 am. Adjourn McCullough adjourned the meeting at 9:05 am.
