Preserve, promote and enhance the cultural heritage and unique character of the community. Attract visitors to maximize the financial impact of tourism on the community. The Convention & Visitor Bureau Board met on Friday, January 9 at 8-30 am at Convention arl Visitors Bureau Office, located at 103 W. 7 th Street, Georgetown, Texas. 0 MEMBERS PRESENT: Don McCullough, Steven Harris, Ray Dorton, Christy Fisher, Georgene Richaud, Karen Soeffker GUEST: Milton VanDusen P.. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the November 14, 2014 minutes Motion by Harris, second by Dorton to approve minutes of November 14, 2014 meeting. Approved 6-0. 3. Jack Frost Basketball Tournament Hotel Occupancy Tax Grant Follow-up Report Presentation— Milton VanDusen VanDusen briefed the event's follow-up report. Discussion followed regarding issues of Georgetown hotel availability/block room rates and issue of attendees utilizing Round Rock hotels in lieu of those in Georgetown. Ms. Miller will organize a follow-up meeting with local hotels to discuss some of these issues for future events. 5. Consideration and possible action to approve the amended board bylaws in accordance with the revised Code of Ordinances. After a discussion of the proposed by-laws, amendments of the Georgetown Code of with the City Attorney regarding clarification of some of the document wording and subsequent implications. Motion made by Dorton, seconded by Harris to table any action at this time awaiting Miller's meeting with the City Attorney. Motion approved 6-0. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding advertising and media exposure and dates of upcoming events. Miller briefed the current advertising and media efforts and forthcoming events. No action was required. The CVB December Monthly Report is attached. 7. Adjourn Chair McCulloch adjourned meeting at 9:55 AM.
