The council considered a request +or• an increase
in the basic rate charged by the Williamson
Counter Cable Vision. This would increase the
basic rate ,from $6.,?5 per month to 1:-0.915 per,
month. Motion by King and second by Gir'vin to
instruct the stat+ to prepare .;n ordinance
approving the increase and tca_ present i t to the
council at the next r ogu l ar council meeting.
Motion carried by unanimous vete

10 IH-35 CORRIDOR
Council Member Connor reported that he had
attended several. !H-35 corridor meetings. He
explained to tate council some of the goals and
methods of . the group.
11 . MISC.
At this time the council undertook a discussion
regarding the regulations concerning the i..ai,a.ter-
rationing program. I t vias stated by the counc i l
that some consideration regarding new lawns
should be discussed. The council agreed that
21 day grace period be given to those who
established new lawns ns prior to August 28, 1
That this grace period, would begin from the time
the new lawn was started, and people who qual i f.v
for the grace period must register with the

MI TIC DEFT. - During August we installed 62 new services and 115 new memters and
40 new temporary services. We set. 11 new poles, 10 new _,nichors and
installed 27 new transformers. = We built a new one -phase line on
Rifle genu. in Quail Valley and Get 4022 3ev.ill_ Dr i, re in Suetlada.
We changed out bad order transformer at the swimming pool and repaired
street lights and rimmed trees.
SANITATION DEPT. - During August there were 25,389residential stops and 4,203
business stops for a total of 29,652 stops. There were 92 loads
taken to the dump and 77 loads of brush hauled. There were 456
loads of dirt and gravel and 19 dead animals picked up.
MATER & WASTEWATER. - We pumped 152,440,000 gallons of water during August and used
2,797 pounds of chlorine. There were 65 water connections made and 3
meter change outs and 26 miscellaneous calls. Treated water
bacteriological analysis results: not found.

There were 37,159,000 gallons :of wastewater treated and,2,005 pounds
of chlorine used. There were 57 sewer connections made and 18 sewer
chokes,
LIBRARY - The Georgetown Public Library had a circulation of 9,616 and the branch
library had 95 for a total of 9,711.. Last month the circulation
was 10,570 and one year ago it was 8,924. There were 64 books
donated and 75 books purchased and $108.75 was given for gifts and
memorials,'
PARKS & RECREATION - With no rain and no watering the crew did very little mowing.
Crew did repair work as needed on all parks and community center.
Repainted all playground equipment and did repair work and painting
at San Jose Park in preparation for Fiesta to be held on Sept. 1 and 2
Crew did repair work on dugouts at ball fields.
