ORDINANCE AMENDING HOTEL/MOTEL TAX AGREEMENT - CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - 1ST READING Motion by Shell and second by Connor to approve the first reading of an ordinance amending an agreement between the City of George totkin and the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 6. ORDINANCE REZONING 4.5 ACRES OUT OF THE CLEMENT STUBBLEFIELD SURVEY ABSTRACT #558 FROM R -S AND R -P TO C2 IST READING No action taken on this matter. 7. ORDINANCE RATE INCREASE - 1ST READING Motion by Connor and second by Shell to approve the f i rst read i ng of an ord i mance amend i ng an ordinance fixing the rates and charges for sales and services of electric, ixiater, wastet-kiater and garbage disposal system of the City of Georgetown. ORDINANCE CREATING GEORGETOWN HIGHER EDUCATION FINANCE CORPORATION, 2ND READING Motion by Connor and second by Colbert to approve the second and final reading of an ordinance creating the Georgetown Higher Education Finance Corporation. ORDINANCE REZONING LOTS 7 AND 8 AND PART OF 61 BLOCK 5, CITY ADDITION - 404 WEST 9TH STREET FROM R -S TO C2A - IST READING Motion by Connor and second by Shell to approve the first reading of an ordinance rezoning Lots 7 and 8 and part of 6, Block 5, City Addition from R -S to C2A. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 12. SOUTH FORK APARTMENTS - FINAL PLAT AND SITE PLAN - 9 - The Council considered a request for approval of South Fork Apartments final plat and site plan. The Counc i I indicated that the most westerly building be relocated from 35 feet to 85 feet from the property line, and that other comments from engineers be addressed before resubmittal. 13. RIVER RIDGE II - FINAL PLAT The Council considered a request for approval of River Ridge 11 final plat. Motion b-/ King and second by Connor to approve the request with the following conditions and variances. - A) Plat meeting all ordinance requirements. B) Need drainage easement up to 7521 contour line along San Gabriel River. C) Utilities being adequate. D) An all -weather service road shall be constructed to the lift station, with an unfenced access easement. F) Variance to allow street radii to be less than 300 feet = in three locations, at curves.- 18 and 19, 41 and 42, 48 and 49. G) Variance to allow 15' front building lines for lots 6, 7 and 8, Block "T". H) Variance to allow lots 9-11, Block "R" to be at right angles with lots 8 and 12, Block "R". Motion carried by unanimous vote. (Ordiance Book #51 page 14. SIERRA VISTA III PRELIMINARY PLAT AND SITE PLAN The Council considered a request to approve Sierra Vista III preliminary plat and site plan. Motion by Colbert and second by King to approve the request with the following conditions; A) Plat and site plan meeting all ordinance requirements. 6) Drainage requirements being met. C) Utilities being adequate. D) Proper zoning shall be secured at the appropriate time. D) Voluntary annexation is requested. Motion carried by unanimous vote. 15. SUTHERLAND PRELIMINARY AND FINAL PLAT The Council considered a request for approval of Sutherland preliminary and final plat. Motion by King and second by Colbert to approve the request with the following conditions and variances: A) Plat meeting all ordinance requirements. 8) Utilities being adequate. C) No future lots will be subdivided until balance of tract has been platted with all ordinance requirements being met. C) Enterprise Drive shall be changed to Quail Valley Drive. D) Voluntary annexation application be submitted by owner when City Staff deems appropriate. Motion by Connor and second by King to approve the request with the following conditions: A) plat meeting all ordinance requirements. B) Utilities being adequate. C) Note on plat that appropriate turning radius of emergency vehicles must be provided. D) Voluntary annexation application be submitted by owner when City Staff deems appropriate. ROLLING HILL ESTATES - PRELIMINARY PLAT The Council considered a request to approve Rolling Hill Estates preliminary plat. Motion by Connor and second by Colbert to approve the request with the following conditions and variances: A) Plat meeting all ordinance requirements. B) Drainage requirements being met. C) Utilities being adequate. D) Conflicts with deed restrictions must be resolved. E) Change name of Williamson Drive. F) Street re -alignment is needed. 6) Lots 8-11, Block "F" shall be redesigned so that their side yards face the side yards of lots 7 & 12; Lots 7-9, Block "B" shall be redesigned st that their side yards face the side yards of lots 6 & 10. Motion by Colbert and second by Connor to approve the request with the following conditions and variances; A) Plat meeting all ordinance requirements. B) Drainage requirements being met. C) Utilities being adequate. D) Access to area being platted. E) Nina Drive shall be extended to the north and south (as indicated on the Concept Plan). F) Lauryn Drive shall be extended to the south. 0) Lots 1-4, Block "C" shall be redesigned so that their side yards would face the side yards of lots 4 And 14. H) Revised preliminary shall be submitted for staff review before final is submitted. 1) Variance to allow Block "E" to exceed the maximum allowable Block Length of 1200 feet. The Council indicated that this matter would be taken up <at the July 17 Special Council meeting. 25. REQUEST - COMMUNITY CENTER - GEORGETTES BOOSTER CLUB Table until the Jul -y17, 1984 Special Council meeting. 26. RESOLUTION - APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT - CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Motion by Connor and second by Colbert to table until the July 17, 1984 Special Council meeting. Motion carried by Unanimous vote. 27. REQUEST - SAN JOSE PARK - LOS UNI DOS The Council considered a request from Henry Valdez., Jr. representing Los Unidog Club for permission to have their 3rd annual Fiesta De San Jose at San Jose Park on September I and 2, 1984. Requested was permission to block off San Jose Street. It was futher requested that the City provide portable restrooms, additional trash barrels and street lights.
