(Ordinance book #5 page ) Sesquicentennial Cpmmission Appointments At this time Mayor Doerfler appointed the following people to the Sesquicentennial Commission: Skip Morris - President, Charles Sawyer - Treasure, Jeanne Fairburn - Secretary, and Harry Moore - Archivist. Ordinance - Lone Star Gas Proposed Rate Increase The council considered a request from Lone Star Gas for a rate increase. After a presentation by Bill Smith from Lone Star the council felt that more time was. needed to study the request. This itern is tabled until the Apr/l regular council meeting. Consider lease agreement - Williamson Count.y At this time the council beard a request from k/il)iamson County Judge Tim Maresh for a lease agreement L>etween the C|ty of Georgetown and Wil}i amson County, Such leased would encompass approxjmate 1y 5 acres of city owned land near the KTGN radio broadcast tower. Such purpose being the establishment of a Juven.al detention center. Mayor Doerfler appointed Bill Connor and Eb Girv/n to study the proposal more closely and to meet with other county officials to work out the details of the proposal. This requested was tabled until the next regular council meeting. Request - May Fair Date At this time the council heard a request from main street director Susie C1/nard to set May 12, 1984 May for Fair activities. Motion by Connor and second by Girv/n to approve the request. Motion carried by unanimous vote. Request - Farmers Market The council heard a request from Susie Clinard to establish a Farmers market ever)' Thursday night starting June 21 and ending September 21 1984. Such market wi,ll be held on the city street in front of the courthouse. All vendors shall apply with Susie [linard before they may participate In the market. Request - National Street Rod Associa,tion The council heard a reque�t from Dan Zoeller of the National Street Rod Association to allow the use of San Gabriel Park for their annual meet to be held *on Max 12 and 13 1984. Variance - Tap Fees & Electrical Fees The council heard a request from David Ettleman for a variance from Tap Fees and Electrical Fees. The council indicated to Ettleman that he should contact Leo Wood Mith this matter, Buzzard Branch - Preliminary & Final Plat ` The council heard a request from Tim L. Wright to approve Buzzard Branch preliminary and final plat. Motion by Connor and second by Shellto approve the request subject to the fol loNing: plat approval to be in compliance with planning report; plat approval is conditioned -upon plat meeting all ordinance requirements; plat approval subject to voluntary annexation.
