The City Council met in special session on the above date at 5:00 PM
with Mayor Pro -Tem Carl Doering presiding. The following Councilmen
and Officials were present: Db C. Girvin, Bill Connor, Marvin Lackey,
William C. Shell, City Manager Leo Wood, City Secretary Jim Colbert,
and Public Works Dirctor W. L. Walden. Mayor Doerfler was absent.
Award Bids - Airport Bids on the runway overlay project were reviewed. Motion by Connor
Runway Project and seconded by Shell to award the bid to Brannan Paving Co., lii('.
of Victoria, Texas for the amount of $79,120.80. Motion carried
by unanimous vote.
Resolution - William-
Mayor Pro -Tem Doering entertained a motion to elect a temporary
son County M.U.D.
Mayor Pro -Tem for this item of business. Motion by Lackey and
No. 5
seconded by Connor to elect Councilman Girvin as temporary Mayor
Pro -Tem. Voting went as follows: AYES: Lackey, Connor and Slielt.
ABSTAIN: Girvin. Motion carried.
Mayor Pro -Tem Girvin entertained a motion on a resolution conseiiLhig
to the creation of Williamson County M.U.D. No.5. Motion by Connor
and seconded by Lackey to approve a resolution consenting to the
creation of Williamson County M.U.D. No. 5 subject to the City oiid
the Developer entering into an agreement concerning regulation of
Williamson County M.U.D. No. 5. Voting went as follows: AYES:
Connor, Lackey and Shell. ABSTAIN: Doering. Motion carried.

Mayor Pro -Tem Girvin stepped down and Councilman Doering again
presided as Mayor Pro -Tem.
Misc.
Motion by Connor and seconded by Lackey to authorize the emergency
expenditure, without bids,,of up to $25,000.00 to repair a sewer
line in Forest Street between 7th Street and 5th Street. Motion
carried by unanimous vote.
Adjourn
There being no further business, on a motion by Connor and seconded
by Shell, the meeting adjourned.
