The mission of the Georgetown Convention and Visitors Bureau is to:
Encourage the community's economic success through promotion of Georgetown as a tourist destination.
Preserve, promote and enhance the cultural heritage and unique character of the community.
Attract visitors to maximize the financial impact of tourism on the community.
The Convention & Visitor Bureau Board met on Friday' February l3at 8:30 am at Conventi
and Visitors Bureau Office, located at 103 W. 7th Street, Georgetown, Texas. I
MEMBERS PRESENT: Don McCullough, Steven Harris, Ray Dorton, Christy Fisher,
Georgene Richaud, Karen Soeffker

1. Welcome/Call to order
2. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the January 9, 2015 minutes
Motion by Dorton, second by Harris to approve minutes of January 9, 2015 meeting.
Approved 6-0.
3. Consideration and possible action to approve the amended board bylaws in accordance
with the revised Code of Ordinances.
Discussion was held regarding the revised Code of Ordinances and Board Bylaws. The
Board Bylaws are being amended to conform with how the board currently functions and are
submitted to the Board for review at this time.
Motion by Dorton, second by Fisher to approve the documents as submitted. Approved 6-4!
4. Update regarding the Sheraton Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center.
Miller provided latest update regarding the new Sheraton Georgetown Hotel and
Conference Center. The official groundbreaking ceremony is set for February 19.
5. Discussion and possible action regarding advertising and media exposure and dates of
upcoming events.
Miller briefed the current advertising and media efforts and forthcoming events. No action
was required.
