HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWNt TEXASt AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown
has, at its meeting on this day held, considered the propriety
and advisability of instituting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly
KCiled by all of the owners of said tract of land; and
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes
1•rescribes procedures to be followed regarding the publication
of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN that on the Z!���—Afday of 19781
ato'clock in the City Council Chamber of City Hall of
the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council will hold a
public hearing, giving all interested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 23, and 24 of San Gabriel Estates,
a subdivision in Williamson County, Texas, accord-
ing to the map or plat thereof of record in Cabinet
A-365, Plat Records, Williamson County, Texas
(SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHE]
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Georgetown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice
of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper
having general circulation in the City, and in the above
described territory not more than twenty (20) days, nor less
than ten (10) days prior to the date of said public hearing,
all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter
160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963;
compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes).
