OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, DIRECTING PLAN STEERINGAND TASK GROUPSO PROCEED WITH DEVELOPMENT PLAN ELEMENTS OF THE CENTURY PLAN. comprehensiveWHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Georgetown was amended by vote of the people in April 1986 such that planning was established i ! and ongoing governmental function; and WHEREAS, said City Charter now states that the comprehensive plan shall include but not be limited to 13 elements which ate coordinated and internally consistent; and WHEREAS, the City Council did on June 23, 1987, adopt a Resolution creating the Century Plan steering committee and Task Groups to develop the "Century Plan" as the comprehensive plan for and submittalWHEREAS, said Resolution did resolve that,subsequent to the of Policy Plan and upon•- ! ! of the City Council the Steering Committee shall proceed with the formulation of such Functional Plans as mav be deemed necessary to effectively y l the Policy Plan pursuant to Section 1.08 • and WHEREAS', the Century Plan Steering Committee did on Decembel k, 1987, submit the Policy Plan Element to the City Council and it is anticipated that said Plan will be adopted by April 5, •8 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF r • ° THAT; 1) The Century Plan Steering Committee and Task Group I as established Resolution Num•. 870239.019 ..• ! • ..•... June 23, 1987, .: and acting as unified committee, from the Planning Department, is hereby authorized and directed to develop the following Century Plan Functional Plan elements pursuant to section Policy Plat: a) Land use Plan, b) Transportation Plan, c) Utilities Plan. 2) The • ar of !sts incidental to the creation of the Century Plan shall be accomplished by using the adopted "Comprehensive • • budget. Minor expenditures shall be made subject to the approval of the Director of Development and Planning.
