GEORGETOWN, TEXAS STATING THE POLICY OF THE CITY
COUNCIL WITH REGARD TO REQUESTS FOR REINSTATEMENT OF
APPROVAL OF PLATS FIRST APPROVED PRIOR TO FEBRUARY 14,
1988.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown Subdivision Regulations whi-P-9
®- effective February 14, 1988, provide that the Regulatio
shall apply to any land subdivision and development activi
having received plat approval from the council for which sa'
approval has expired; and ]i
WHEREAS, it has been the practice of the City Council to consider
reinstatement of approval of plats whose approval has expired,
such reinstatement being valid for not more than the remainder of
18 months from the date of original approval of the plat- and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is reasonable and fair to
consider reinstatement of plats subject to the original
conditions of approval when it can be affirmed that circumstances
have not changed significantly since original approval of the
plat, and when the request for reinstatement is received within
19 months of original approval; and
WHEREAS, the Council acknowledges that under law it may deny 0
request for reinstatement, thus requiring the subdivider to begi
the subdivision process in compliance with theSubdivisio
Regulations; or, it may reinstate approval of a plat while maki
such reinstatement subject to new or modified conditions o
approval.-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ow
Georgetown, Texas, that it shall be the policy of the &it
Council that: I
1. The City Council shall consider requests for reinstatement of
plat approval for plats which were first approved prior t*
February 14, 1988;
2. Where the Council finds that circumstances pertaining to the
plat have not changed significantly, plat approval will b -
reinstated subject to the original conditions of approval an.
the remaining procedural and technical requirements whic
were applicable at the time'of original approval; I

3. Where the Council finds that circumstances pertaining to the
plat have changed significantly, the Council reserves th
discretion to disapprove any request for reinstatement or t
grant reinstatement subject to new or modified conditions o
approval. I
4. The maximum period of time for which plat approval may be
reinstated shall be the remainder of 18 months from the
original date of approvaL

I , being the current City Secretary of the City of
Georgetown do hereby certify the above is a true and correct copy of a
resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown and such
resolution was duly adopted at a meeting open to the public and notice
of said meeting, giving the date, place, and subject thereof, was
posted as prescribed by Article 6252-17, Section 3A, VATCS.
