WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown is in the process of
acquiring right of way along Williams Drive in Georgetown, Texas,
for the purpose of expanding the present roadway;
WHEREAS, Bobby Stanton, on behalf of West Georgetown
Development Company is the fee owner of a parcel of land along a
portion of the area where the right of way is to be acquired;
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown finds it is in the best
interest of the City to acquire the right of way through
reasonable negotiations;
WHEREAS, Bobby Stanton has made an offer to the City that the
City finds is in its best interest to accept;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
THAT:
The City Council of the City of Georgetown accepts the offer of
Bobby Stanton to purchase 20 foot strip of right of way from
parcels 58 and 64 along Williams Drive in Georgetown, Texas,
described on the attached document, under the terms and
conditions in the attached proposal, and subject to immediately
receiving right of entry agreements to accomplish the necessary
construction of improvements.
That the City Attorney is directed to prepare the necessary
documents to complete this transaction and the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute the same and the City Secretary to attest.

SUBJECT: Stanton 20 Foot Strip of Right of Way, Parcels 58 and 64
along Williams Drive
DATE: October 19, 1988
Mr. Stanton has orally rejected the City's counter -proposal for
the purchase of the 20 as strip of right of way from parcels 58
and 64 along Williams Drive. Specifically, his rejection was due
to the condition relating to the non -assignability clause of the
airport rental.
This item will be given further discussion and consideration
turing executive session. You will be updated as to any changes
in the situation prior to executive session being held on
#ctober 25, 1988. M

RE: 20 foot Right -of -Way Acquisition for Parcels 58 and 64 along
Williams Drive

As'a follow-up to our meeting on September 13, 1988, 1 would like
to summarize your counter-offer for these parcels.
The appraised value of the acquisition, being a 20 foot strip
right-of-way along R.M. 2338, is $80,281.00. Previously, West
Georgetown Development Company committed to $5,000 to be utilized
for the Regional wastewater Study, thereby reducing that figure to
$75,281. In order to complete this transaction, West Georgetown
Development Company would receive $22,615.00 from the City; a
credit for its airport lease payments from January 1, 1989,
through December 31t 1999, for the estimated present value being
$30,169, and receive $15,112 in development fee credits to be
zpplied to the tract which originally comprised 300 acres where
the acquisition is sought. Also, West Georgetown Development
Company will convey a 20 foot PUE to the City of Georgetown to •-
