MINUTES
1. Call to order.
Jill Fussell, President, called meeting to order at 6:04 pm in the Georgetown
Public Library, Hewlett Room.
2. As an owner of real property in the Georgetown city limits located within 200 feet
of the boundary of the land under consideration for rezoning:
Consideration and possible action of a resolution to be presented to City Council
in support of Rezoning of 24.076 acres in the Joseph Fish and Williams Roberts
Surveys, from Agricultural (AG) District to Planned Unit Development (PUD)
with a base Local Commercial (C-1) District, to be known as Georgetown Village
Center, located on 1121 Shell Road, southwest of Sycamore Street. Project Case
Number: REZ-2013-024
Notes: Bridgett Chapman, the Georgetown City attorney, clarified the PIDs scope
of jurisdictional responsibility as prescribed by the ordinance approved by City
Council. Jill Fussell had item 2 withdrawn from the agenda.
3. Consideration and possible action of a resolution to be presented to City Council
to request denying building permits to KB Homes at Creekside at Georgetown
Village until Creekside at Georgetown Village is annexed into Georgetown
Village Public Improvement District #1.
Notes: Bridgett Chapman, the Georgetown City attorney, clarified the PIDs scope
of jurisdictional responsibility as prescribed by the ordinance approved by City
Council. Jill Fussell had item 3 withdrawn from the agenda.
4. Consideration and possible action of a resolution to be presented to City Council
and Georgetown Transportation Advisory Board in support of including in the
2015 Proposed Bond Projects the $20 million Shell Road improvements from
Williams Drive to Hwy. 195; support of the Shell Road improvements is due to
long-standing traffic safety issues as Shell Road bisects Georgetown Village.
Notes: Jerry Hammerlun, District 5 City Council member, noted that the 2015
proposed bonds are still deep in the discussion phase. A community engagement
board will be convened in May to collect input from residents. Bridgett Chapman
noted that any action taken by the PID until the bond proposals have been
finalized would be preemptive. Jill Fussell had item 4 withdrawn from the agenda.
