Preserve, promote and enhance the cultural heritage and unique character of the community. Attract visitors to maximize the financial impact of tourism on the community. The Convention & Visitor Bureau Board met on Friday, July 10 at 8:30 am at Convention and Visitors Bureau Office, located at 103 W. 7 th Street, Georgetown, Texas, MEMBERS PRESENT: Don McCullough, Christy Fisher, Georgene Richaud, Karen Soeffker, Al Shankkle, Ray Dorton MEMBERS ABSENT: Tauyna Vessels STAFF PRESENT: Cari Miller GUEST: None 2. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the June 12,2015 minut Motion by Richaud, second by Fisher to approve minutes of June 12, 2015 meetin Approved 6-0. 1 Miller presented the proposed 20t5-2016 CVB Marketing Plan. A three member subcommittee (Fisher, Soeffler, Dorton) was established to review and provide feedback at the August meeting on the media options available. Motion by Richaud, seconded by Dorton to table the final approval of the 2015-2016 CVB Marketing Plan until the August CVB meeting. Motion further provided for the authorization to proceed with finalizing of the annual agreements with both Texas Highways and Texas State Travel Guide magazines prior to the August meeting. Miller will discuss with City Secretary/City Attorney. Grant will be awarded in September. 6. Discussion and possible action regarding advertising and media exposure and dates of upcoming events. Miller briefed the current advertising and media efforts and forthcoming events. The CVB june Monthly Report is attached. Chair McCullough adjourned meeting at 10: 12 am.
