Berr called the meeting to order at 4:07 PM.
B Review and approval of the minutes from the 2/23/12 Charter Review Committee Meeting
Motion by Stribling, second by Smith to approve minutes from the 2/23/12 Charter Review Committee Meeting.
Approved 8-0.
C Discussion of possible amendment to the City Charter, Section 2.02 — Qualifications
Chapman described the item and presented draft amendment language for the Committee's consideration.
Discussion of draft amendment language. The Committee directed Staff to revise the proposed amendment
language and present for possible action at the next meeting.
D Discussion and possible action to make recommendations concerning amendment of City Charter Section 2.01 —
Number, Selection, Term of Office
Chapman presented a proposed Report to Council (draft) concerning City Charter Section 2.01.
Motion by Smith, second by Berr to approve the proposed Report to Council subject to future revision for
inclusion in the final Report to Council. Approved 8-0.
E Present additional requested information for consideration of City Charter Section 3.01 — General Election
City Secretary Brettle attended the meeting for question and answer session concerning City election data and
statistics. Discussion concerning same.
F Present summary of discussion of City Charter Section 3.01 — General Election
City Secretary Brettle attended the meeting for question and answer session concerning City election data and
statistics. Discussion concerning same.
G Discuss Agenda Items for 3/08/12 Meeting
Committee requested to complete discussion and consideration of City Charter Section 3.01 at the 3/08 Meeting.
Motion by Scott and second to adjourn. The Meeting adjourned at 5:10 PM.
