For this reason,the City of Georgetown remains in phase 1 of its Drought Contingency Plan.This means that the two day per-week limit on outdoor irrigation in still in effect.The two day per-week limit began in 2013. For irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers,your day for watering is based on the last digit of your address number: No sprinkler or irrigation system use is permitted on Mondays,Thursdays,or Fridays.Watering with a sprinkler or irrigation system is not permitted from 12 noon to 7 p.m.each day. Watering with a hand-held hose or bucket can be done any day and at any time.Other outdoor water uses such as vehicle washing or filling a swimming pool can be done any day at any time. Georgetown Public Library Most plastic bags and plastic wraps can be recycled in your recycling cart using a Bag-the-Bag stuffer bag. For City of Georgetown solid waste and recycling customers,use a yel- low stuffer bag for recycling single- use plastic bags with handles,news- paper bags,dry cleaning bags,pro- duce and meat bags (free of food residue),zip-lock bags,bread bags, six-pack rings,cellophane wrap,and plastic packaging used for paper towel rolls,toilet paper,napkins,or other items. Plastic bags and plastic wrap must be placed in the yellow Bag-the-Bag stuffer bag to be recycled.Bags and plastic wrap should not be loose in the recycling cart. The yellow bags can be stuffed very full.Then tie up the yellow Bag-the- Bag stuffer bag and place it in your recycling cart. The yellow stuffer bags are available at the Collection Station,250 Walden Drive,the Georgetown Municipal Complex Customer Care window,300-1 Industrial Avenue, and the Sun City Community Association office,2 Texas Drive. Customers can pick up two free bags each month. The summer reading program for toddlers to twelve-year-olds—Every Hero Has a Story—kicks off on Tuesday June 2,at 10:30 a.m.at the Georgetown Public Library with juggler extraordinaire Matt Tardy, fun,food and time to register kids for the Summer Reading Club. The Summer Reading Club is a self- paced program in which children set their own goals,choose their levels of reading,and keep records of either the books they read (or that are read to them)or the amount of time they spend reading each day.
