TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES (H.B. 1837 -MOTOR VEHICLES, IDENTIFICATION OF
GOVERNMENT-OWNED ON UNMARKED POLICE VEHICLES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown has determined that the
provisions of Article 6701M-2, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended by House
Bill 1837 - Motor Vehicles, identification of Government -Owned, places under
restriction of the operations of police officers as they operate City owned
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown has been given the authority
to exempt police vehicles; and
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,, TEXAS
THAT: police vehicles owner by the City of Georgetown are hereby exempted from
the requirements and provisions of Article 6701M-2, Vernon's Texas Civil
Statutes, as amended by House Bill 1837 - Motor Vehicles, Identification of
Government -Owned.
Adopted this 15th day of September 1987.
