Board Members: Dawn Jennings - Chair, Jon Carey, Chris H'Luz, Anya Juan Risco, Bea Kinney, Sheila Mills, Chris Sypniewski arrived at 6:15 PM Board Members Absent: Staff Present: Nat Waggoner, Jana Kern, Chief Jon Sullivan, Capt. Roland Waits Regular Session (This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code 551.) A. Call to Order: Ms. Dawn Jennings called the regular ADA Board to order on Wednesday March 9, 2016 at 6:00 PM. The Board may, at any time recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the request of the Chair, a Board Member, The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, General Manager of Utilities, City Council Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the Regular Session that follows B. Introduction of Visitors & Board Members C. Discussion of Take Me Home and Silver Alert Programs in Georgetown - Captain Roland Waits, Georgetown Police Department. Fire Chief Sullivan discussed with the Board some of the programs that that Fire are involved with — Commission on Aging, people that are transitioning into a disability, The Steer Program, Smart 911, Vile/File of Life, Text 911. Roland Waits discussed with the Board the Take Me Home Program. Moved to Item '11' at 6:50 PM D. Presentation and discussion of the adopted 2015 ADA Transition Plan.- Nat Waggoner, Transportation Analyst, Transportation Services, Skye Mason, Asst. City Attorney. Waggoner gave a brief overview of the Plan for the benefit of the new members of the Board. E. Discussion of the need to create a work plan for FY 2016. - Nat Waggoner, Transportation Analyst, Transportation Services. Waggoner went over the proposed work plan by month with the Board. F. Nominations and election of Vice -Chair of the ADA Board. - Dawn Jennings - Chair of ADA Motion by Juan Risco second by Mills to nominate Jon Carey as Vice Chair of the ADA Advisory Board. Approved 6-0-1 (Sypniewski absent) G. Nominations and election of Secretary of the ADA Board. - Dawn Jennings - Chair of ADA Motion by Juan Risco second by Kinney to nominate Sheila Mills as Secretary of the ADA Advisory Board. Approved 6-0-1 (Sypniewski absent) H. Review and possible action related to the Day and Time of ADA Board Meetings. - Dawn Jennings - Chair of ADA Motion by Mills second by Juan Risco to keep the second Wednesday at 6:00 PM each month to hold the -ADA Advisory Board. Approved 7-0 1. Review and possible action to approve the minutes from the Regular ADA Board meeting held February 10, 2016. - Jana Kern - ADA Board Liaison Motion by Carey second by Jennings to approve the minutes as presented.
