RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
VACATING AND ABANDONING A 0.27 -ACRE PORTION OF A 60 -FOOT
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY OUT OF THE SHELL ADDITION, A SUBDIVISION
RECORDED IN CABINET A, SLIDE 40 OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS ("PINE STREET"), AND BEING THE
CONTINUATION OF PINE STREET, ALSO KNOWN AS TAYLOR STREET,
NORTH OF SECOND STREET IN GEORGETOWN, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received requests for the vacation and
abandonment of a portion of the above-described PINE STREET, in order to allow its
development; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown ("City") has received requests from abutting
landowners and others that the property be vacated and abandoned to allow for the development
of this and adjoining tracts. The property requested to be abandoned and vacated is fully
described by metes and bounds as Tract II in that Special Warranty Deed recorded in Volume
1615, Page 451 of the Official Public Records of Williamson County, Texas and depicted in the
sketch on Exhibit "A" attached hereto (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, upon considering the request for vacation and abandonment of the subject
portions of PINE STREET and additional information pertaining to the request, the City Council
finds that a public need for the areas sought to be vacated and abandoned no longer exists and
that said portions may be vacated and abandoned pursuant to City Ordinance No. 2009-47
relating to disposition of City property; and
WHEREAS, nothing herein shall operate to vacate or abandon the remainder of said PINE
STREET.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that the
adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent br in conflict with any of the City's 2030
Comprehensive Plan policies.
SECTION 2. The Council hereby vacates and abandons the Property and authorizes the
offer of the Property for sale to the abutting landowners, which offer shall be in proportion to

each landowners abutting interest according to State Law and City Ordinance, at fair market
value.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
