Concerted efforts —including careful urban planning, meticulous historic preservation and canny marketing —has resulted in a vigorous downtown vibe that evokes but isn't dominated by its storied past. It includes a courthouse square surrounded by over 40 independent shops, including a toy store, art galleries, a day spa, restaurants and two wine tasting rooms. During the holidays, a festive stroll brings visitors and residents together to celebration the season. But this popular (and growing) town isn't just about its Town Square.
