Rinn, Executive Assistant to the City Manager MINUTES Legislative Regular Agenda A. Call to Order --Suzy Pukys, SPCS Advisory Board Chair The Meeting was called to Order at 9:14 a.m. B. Roll Call --Suzy Pukys, SPCS Advisory Board Chair All Members were present. C. Consideration and possible action to approve the Minutes from the June 1, 2016 SPCS Advisory Board Meeting—George Porter, Secretary Motion by Griffin, second by Gambone to approve the Minutes from the June 1, 2016 SPCS Advisory Board Meeting, as amended. (Approved 5-0) D. Discussion and possible action regarding the allocation recommendations to be made to the City Council for funding of the Strategic Partnerships for Community Services (SPCS) Grants—Suzy Pukys, Board Chair Suzy Pukys provided an introduction to the process for going through each of the applications. The Board Members also disclosed any potential conflicts of interest they may have with any of the agencies that applied for funding. Shirley Rinn provided an overview of the scoring rubric and the process for determining the allocation recommendations for the City Council. SPCS Advisory Board Minutes July 6, 2016 Page 1 of 3 The Board vetted Applications, including the following agencies and made the following recommendations: • Assistance League $0 • Goodwill $0 of Georgetown Area Industries of Williamson County • Backpack Buddies $0 • Habitat for $25,000 (disqualified) Humanity of Williamson County • Brookwood in $25,000 • Williamson $40,000 Georgetown (BIG) County Crisis Center dba Hope Alliance • Boys and Girls Club $50,000 • Lone Star Circle $40,000 of Georgetown of Care • Georgetown $50,000 . Ride on Center $37,000 Community Service for Kids Center -The Caring (R.O.C.K) Place • CASA of Williamson $15,000 • Sacred Heart $0 County, Texas Community Clinic (Disqualified) • Faith in Action $32,000 • Senior Center $12,000 Caregivers at Stonehaven • GENaustin (Girls $10,000 • The Locker $10,000 Empowerment Network) • Georgetown Project $42,000 • Williamson $12,000 County Master Gardeners Association $224,000.00 $176,000.00 $400,000 The Board indicated that it felt that the City Council needed to make the determination to continue the utility assistance for Williamson Burnet Opportunities, Inc. The Board also indicated that the scoring tools that were utilized this year were very helpful and felt that the vetting process went well. There was also some discussion regarding the reporting requirements and the types of information the Board would like to see included in the annual reports that are due in October 2016. Rinn told the Board that this item would go to the City Council either July 26tH, 2016 or August 9, 2016.
