A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE SEVEN (7) TRACTS TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 0.995 ACRES OF PROPERTY FROM KB HOME LONE STAR, INC. WHEREAS, KB Home Lone Star, Inc., a Texas corporation (KB Home), owns seven (7) lots in the Creekside at Georgetown Village P.U.D., Phases I and II, as recorded in Document Nos. 2014011307 and 2014058708 Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas (Open Space Lots), as described in the attached Exhibit "A"; and, WHEREAS, KB Home wishes to grant these Open Space Lots to the City of Georgetown by a General Warranty Deed substantially similar to that document attached hereto as Exhibit "B"; and, WHEREAS, it is hereby declared that the City of Georgetown finds it to be in the best interest of the public to accept these Open Space Lots, totaling approximately 0.995 acres of land, in order to provide for the aesthetic quality of the area and ensure proper maintenance of said lots and all improvements thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any other 2030 Comprehensive Plan Policies. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this resolution, and the City Secretary is authorized to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
