Monday through Friday, two busses will run for 12 hours. They will run for 10 hours on Saturdays. An extra bus will be added for the paratransit system for the same hours. There will not be services on Sunday. This plan was adopted in September of 2016 after lots of public involvement and outreach. The fare structure is still being developed. The Transit Working Group has included the city of Georgetown, Capital Metro Transit Authority, CARTS, the Georgetown Health Foundation and the Faith in Action program. The Faith in Action program currently provides 500 volunteers providing rides to elderly for errands and medical appointments, along with social interaction. They currently provide services 9 —12 Monday through Friday. With help from the city with mapping and trip planning, and a grant, they will now be increasing their services to 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Housing Advisory Board Page 1 Minutes October 17, 2016 • Next steps for implementation of the program by August 2017: CARTS/ Capital Metro will be purchasing the busses.
