The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on January 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Georgetown
City Hall — Main Floor Conference Room —113 E. 811 St., Georgetown TX. 78626.
In attendance were; Tadd Phillips, HR Director, Elliott Harper, HR Generalist, Commissioners Hank
Michel, Jim Montgomery
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Approval of minutes from Civil Service Meeting on December 1, 2016
a. Motion to accept by Corninission Montgomery, Approved 2-0
B. Discussion and possible action to certify an eligibility list for the position of Fire Driver.
a. Dep Civil Service Director presented the eligibility= list for certification, recap of the
testing process, 5 candidates eompieted the written and assessment center portions
with a passing score, Assessment center did have in impact on the final eligibility
list, try to provide ample time for the candidates to study beyond the requirements of
civil service statute. Miction Commissioner Montgomery-_ approved 2-0
C. Update to Commission by Civil Service Director
a. Llpcoinin- FF exam 01/2I, Maki 1111 updates to PD hiring process per meet and confer,
City Council will reappoint Commissioners this month. Next meeting in Late January
to appoint Chair and Co -Chair.
D. Adjourn
