AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY
OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP, AND MAKING THIS
AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THE
PROPERTY OF THOMAS G. FOUST, JR., SAID PROPERTY BEING A PART OF BLOCK
7, GLASSCOCK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, AS HEREINAFTER MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED, FROM R -S, SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT TO C -2-A,
COMMERCIAL, FIRST HEIGHT DISTRICT:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the >ning ordinance on the following described real estate:
BEING a parc,�l or tract of land in Block 7 of the Glasscock Addition to the City of
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, and being all of two tracts of land described
in deeds fro.i Marian Williams to Georgetown Urban Renewal Agency, of record in Vol.
546, Page 3—; Luis Lopez, et ux, to Georgetown Urban Renewal Agency, of record in
Vol. 539, F ,;;e 57, of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas.
BEGINNING at an iron stake set where the South margin of 9th Street intersects the
West margin of West Street for the Northeast corner hereof, said point also being
the Northeast corner of the above referred to Block 7;
THENCE along the South margin of 9th Street and the North boundary line of the said
Block 7, West, at 115.68 feet an iron stake set in line with an old fence for the
Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE S 0014'W, 124.25 feet to a 1/2 inch pipe found for the Southwest corner hereof;
THENCE S 89015'E, 95.48 feet to an iron stake set in the Northwest margin of an old
railroad for the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE N 38°59'E, 32.91 feet along the Northwest margin of said railroad to an iron
stake set in the West margin of West Street;
THENCE along the West margin of West Street, North 99.92 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING,
and containing 14,226 square feet of land.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning
Ordinance on the above described property from "R -S, Single -Family District to
C -2-A, Commercial, First Height District" which said meeting was held on the 5th
day of December, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance,
gave notice of such hearing by publishing same one time in the WILLIAMSON COUNTY SUN,
a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which notice stated the time

and place of hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first
day of such publication; and
WHEREAS, written notice was given to all of the owners of lots within 200 feet
of the above described property as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the change aforesaid in the
Zoning Ordinance, said approval being given by said Commission on the 5th day of
December, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended
so that the property described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from
"R -S, Single -Family District to C -2-A, Commercial, First Height District."
