RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE SECRETARY OF SAID COUNCIL
OF SAID CITY TO SUBMIT BIDS FOR TWO TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED IN
SAID CITY AND MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBITS "A" AND "B'=, ATTACHED
HERETO, TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, OWNER OF SAID TRACTS OF LAND.

WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, is the
owner of two tracts of land described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, it has been made known to the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, that said tracts of land will soon be advertised in the local newspaper, which ad
will request sealed bids on -such tracts of land, for "Public" use; and
WHEREAS, on June 19, 1975, the City of Georgetown, acting by and through its
Mayor, Joe E. Crawford, requested in writing of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City
of Georgetown, that the property described in the exhibits hereto attached be offered
for sale so that such City might submit bids on the same, for the reason that such City
owns a part of Block 47 in which said property is located, and is in need of additional
space in such block for additional offices; now therefore be it
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, that the Mayor
and Secretary of the City Council of said City be, and they are hereby, authorized to
submit bids on the tracts described in Exhibits "A" and "B" hereto attached, and to execute

any and all instruments in connection with the submission of such bids, and further, in

the event such bids are accepted by such Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown,

to execute any and all instruments necessary to be executed in connection with the purchase
of such tracts of land.
ADOPTED at a special, called meeting of the City Council of the City of Georgetown,
Texas, held on the 15th day of December, 1975.

FIELD NOTES FOR URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY
TRACT 1 - BLOCK "I"
BEING a parcel or tract of land in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas,
and being part of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 47, accoring to the official map of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, and being more particulars ly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 47, referred to above, said point
being where the South margin of 8th Street intersects the West margin of Timber Street;
THENCE West 60.00 feet along the South margin of Timber Street and along the North
boundary line of Lot 1 to a point for the Northwest corner hereof;
THENCE South 137.52 feet to a point on the Northwest R.O.W. line of a 30 foot wide
railroad R.O.W. (abandoned) for the most southerly corner hereof;
THENCE N 42050'E, 42.46 feet and N 38035' E, 50.00 feet with the said Railroad
R.O.W. to a point on the West margin of Timber Street;
THENCE North 67.30 feet along the West margin of Timber Street to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING AND containing 6,228 square feet.

BEING a parcel or tract of land in the City of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas,
and being a part of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 47, -according to the official map of the
City of Georgetown, Texas, cn d being more, particulari ly. described as follows,
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 47, referred to above, said point
also being the Northeast corner of Lot 8, Block 47, and being on the South margin of
8th Street;
THENCE South 193.48 feet along the West boundary lines of Lots 1, 2, 3 and part of 4,
to a point on the Northwest R.O.W. line of the Georgetown Railroad (abandoned) to a
point marking the most southerly corner hereof;
THENCE N 47025'E, 74.53 feet and N 42050'E, 7.54 feet along the said Northwest
R.O.W. line of the abandoned railroad to a point marki ng the Southeast corner hereof;
THENCE North 137.52 feet to a point on the South margin of 8th Street marking the
Northeast corner hereof;
THENCE West 60.00 feet along the South margin of the 8th Street to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING and containing 9,953 square feet.
