Rentsch Brewery was founded by father and son David and Andrew Rentschler. The inspiration for opening a brewery began in Europe where Andrew was studying German. He also picked up the extracurricular activity of 'studying' biergartens, where he noticed that the focus was enjoying the quality of local craft beers. In addition, they provided a place for friends and family to gather and leisurely hang out and enjoy each others' company. Andrew's family met him in Europe during a break in his studies, and he shared his concept with them. It was at a biergarten that the dream for Rentsch Brewery began. Wimberley Blue Hole Regional Park Blue Hole is suited for those looking for some relaxation, recluse and the perfect postcard getaway. The water is encompassed by a haven of arching trees all around, making it perfect for those wanting to float around sans sun. If you'd like to stray from napping the day away in a tube, the spot also comes equipped with rope swings. You can either get your inner Tarzan on by climbing some trees to swing from a chain link or by justjumping from the highest of treetops. There's a path for walkers and hikers and some lawn real estate to hang out on when you're ready to dry off. 100 Blue Hole Ln, Wimberley, TX Open daily; prices vary, $9 for adult.
