APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 1, 1982, AND ENDING AUGUST 31, 1983, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE 689-A-13 OF THE REVISED STATUTES OF
TEXAS AND HOME RULE CHARTER FOR THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS AMOUNTS THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Georgetown has submitted to
the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of said City and the
expense of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a complete financial
plan for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning September 1, 1982, and ending
August 31, 1983, and which said proposed budget has been compiled from
detailed information obtained from the several departments and offices
of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's proposed
budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all supporting schedules have
00been filed with the City Secretary of the City of Georgetown, and is of
00 the opinion that the same should be approved and adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
Q SECTION 1. The proposed budget of the revenues of the City of George-
town and expenses of conducting the affairs thereof, providing a financial
plan for the ensuing fiscal year beginning September 1, 1982, and ending
August 31, 1983, as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager of
said City, be, and the same is in all things adopted and approved as the
budget of the current expenses as well as fixed charges against said
City for the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1982, and ending August 31,
1983.
SECTION 2. That the sum of $1,781,780.00 is hereby appropriated out
of the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses of the City
Government as hereinafter itemized.

SECTION 3. That the sum of $64,840.00 is hereby appropriated out of
the Interest and Sinking Fund for the purpose of paying the interest and
principal due on General Obligation Bonds.
SECTION 4. That the sum of $7,260,163.00 is hereby appropriated out
of the Utility Fund for the payment of operating expenses of the City
Government as hereinafter itemized:

SECTION 5. That the sum of $308,757.00 is hereby appropriated out of
the Interest and Sinking Fund for the purpose of paying the accured interest
and making the principal payments as the same mature on the Utility System
Revenue Bonds and creating the prescribed contingent and reserve funds.
SECTION 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council at a meeting held at City
Hall in the City of Georgetown this 10th day of August, 1982, on first reading.
READ, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council at a meeting held at the
City Hall in the City of Georgetown this 24th day of August, 1982, on second
reading.
