HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes_MSTAB_09.29.2017 SpecialMinutes of a Meeting of the Main Street Advisory Board of the City of Georgetown, Texas Friday, September 29, 2017 The Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 8:30 AM in the Classroom of the Georgetown Public Library located at 402 West 81h St., Georgetown, Texas The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Taylor Kidd called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM. All board members were in attendance, with the exception of K. Warren. A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD Regular Session (This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.) A. Discussion and possible action regarding a Main Street Sign Grant application — Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill — 212 W. Th Street — Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager Staff presented the background information for a sign grant for 212 W. 71, Street. The planned signage improvements include a new sign that will hang over the sidewalk. The applicant has selected Larry Perez Signs to perform the. required work. V. Jackimiec made a motion to award a sign grant with a maximum of $500 to Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill. Second by K. Curry. Approved: 6-0 B. Discussion and possible action regarding a Main Street Facade Grant application — Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill — 212 W. Th Street — Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager Staff presented the background information for a facade grant for 212 W. Th Street. The planned improvements include new stucco fagade around the side and rear of the building and new wood and iron fencing to continue the pedestrian experience from the street frontage. T. Tallman made a motion to award a facade grant for 50% of eligible expenditures or $7,562 to Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill. Second by B. Nicholson. Approved: 6-0 C. Agenda Items for the October meeting — Update from CVB on Marketing for Georgetown and how they are promoting the Square in their next campaign. Adjourn Motion by V. Jackimiec to adjourn, second by B. Nicholson. Taylor Kidd adjourned the meeting at 8:46 AM.
