The City council met in a called session on the above date, 11syor
]Forge C. Hester rresiding. present: Lee C. Black, city manager,
Aldermen: J. R. Chastain, C. C. Hamilton, T. r. Hoffman, Jr.,
and Sam E. Pidlyda. 7ilcox absent on account of illness. A. P.
Pickle, marshall, U. L. Cates, Secretary.
After discussion of the subject for several minutes, it
was move and seeomded that Medical Physicians of Georgetown
be granted free parking privileges in proximityty the their
professional offices. The motion was carried by unanimous vote of
the Council.

All elected officers were duly sworn in by I(ayor Hester;
Mayor Hester appointed Alderman Sam E. Harris mayor protemo
and retained all standing committees with the exception of appoint-
ing newly elected Alderman Thatcher Atkin, as Ordinance and reso-
lution committeeman, and replacing former alderman Chastain on
other committgoe.a.
Mayor Hester announced the fol-
lowing standing committees:
Utilities: W. P. Hoffman Jr., S. T.
Atkin.
Streets and Bridges: W. P. Hoff-
man Jr., C. C. Hamilton.
Parks and Airport: Sam Harris
and J. T. Atkin.
Police, Fire and Cotton Yard: O.
