The City Council met in regular session on the above date, Mayor
Pro Tem Sam E. Harris, presiding, the following being present:
City tanager Lee C Black, Aldermen: J. Thatcher Atkin, C. C. Hamilton,
T. P. Hoffman, :r.,Sam E. Harris and Sam E. Wilcox. Officers: C. S.
Sanders, Assessor -Collector; X. H. !Tunn, attorney for the city;
A. P. Pickle# city marshal; P'. L. Cates, secretary.
On motion of Aldorman Vilcox, seconded by Aldermam)f Hoffman the min-
utes of the previous session were approved as corrected.
On motion of Alderman Hamilton the bills and accounts as presented
by manager Black were approved and ordered paid.
finmmorion of Alderman Atkin, seconded by Alderman Hoffman,' the Council
unanimously approved the request from the Georgetown Independent School
District formthe use of the Veterans Rousing Unit located on the
property of the Carver High School, for use by the Georgetown Schools
System, provided -that such -use conforms to agreement by the Federal
Housing Authority. `
A motion was made bydAlderman S. R. Wilcox, and -seconded by Alderman
W. P., Hoffman, Jr... that the attorney for the city, 7. H. I1unn, be
directed to draw ordinances, Authorizing the sale of ce6rtain streets
in the John R. Allen Addttinn, as regested by Southwestern University.
On motion of Alderman Akkilton the Attorney for the City was directed
to draw a dog -tax ordinance.
On motion of Alderman Tilcox, seconded by Alderman Atkin, Poundmaster
John Hyman was granted an additional 15.00 salary. -
Thr. Norman Rogers requested a permit to operate a Taxi in the city,
the Council agreed there was no necessity for
more taxies in the city at the present time, and requested City
Manager Lee C. Blgck to so advise lir. Rogers.
There appaering no further business the Council adjourned.
