The proposition of M. P. Kelley & Co. for a system of
sewerage for Court House and Jail for the erection of water closets,
urinal basins &o, fixtures for electric lights for Court House and
Jail - was accepted by the Court - the proposition which was accepted
was as follows:
Georgetown, Texas. Feby. 19, 1894.
To the honorable County Commissioners of Williamson County,
Tex, Gentlemen: We submit for your consideration the following pro-
position for a system of sewerage for Court House and Jail: (1) We
will erreet in the Court House six water closets. Nelson Princes
Pattern No. 3, complete as shown is Nelson Mfg. Co. catalogue page 358,
all to be well traded and connected with sewer with four inch cast iron
pipe. We will also furnish and errect, two urinal basens with all the
conneotioiis and traps and overflow for flushing while in use. We will
also erect in Court House, ane wash stand with three bowls, No. 8, Page
284, Ramsey & S. Co. catalogue fitted with traps and overflow to make
complete job. The flooring in and around this work to be covered with
sheet led with drain pipe so as to protect the building against any
axcident from breakage of pipe. We will also build screen wall, out
of native pine lumber dressed on both sides in front of said water
closets and furnish the partitions for said closets. We will also
reconstruct and put in new plumbing in the jail leaving two bath tubs
that are now in same and furnish one new bath tub for sells North of
Guardroom. Sewerage. Sewerage to be laid all round the Court House
and all down pipes to be connected to it, together with all soil pipes.
To run from Court House down to jail and from jail in as near and
direct line as possible to a point below the Water Works Pumping Station,
This point to be agreeable to the Commissioners and we agree to furnish
the right of way and the land to empty the sewer on and to stand be-
tween thekCounty and all suits that may arrise from the succesful
operation of said sewer. This pipe to be salt tile pipe of 10 inches
diameter, of 2j foot length of standar& weight,` 30 pounds per foot.
To be laid in the ground on smooth level & Gradient all joints to be
thoroughly Pilled with cement mortar and each joint to be carefully

swabed out before the next length of pipe is laid.
In case we should have to cross any gully or washouts,
then cast iron pipe is to be used instead of Salt tile, at least 12
feet on each side of such washout or gully. All to*be complete and
satisfactory to said Commissioners. We also agree to put in 57
electric lights in Court House and Jail, all to be finished in workman-
like manner for the sum of $4500.00 and the exclusive right to connect
the City to said sewer. $1200.00 of this amount to be paid on delivery
of pipe in Georgetown and the bal.lance in County Warrants at 6% interest
equal payments. One due and payable lies. 1st in 1895 and one Dec lst,
in 1896 and third warrant Dec. lst, 1897. Work to be compled by May
the 1st, 1894 according to profile hereto attached.

The above proposition is hereby accepted the Court this the
