BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS THAT the following minimum policies shall be followed by
all of the City of Georgetown's official boards, commissions and
committees:
1. Election of Officials: A chairperson, secretary, and any other
officers as needed shall be elected by the members to serve
one-year terms.
2. Quorum: A quorum shall consist of a majority of all members
and shall include the chairperson or acting chairperson.
3. Decisions: Any decision or action shall require the favorable
votes of a majority of members present, provided there is a
quorum.
4. Reports: An annual report, and such other, reports as the
members decide, or the city council directs, shall be made to the
city council.

All members of each board, commission or
shall follow all provisions of the Ethics Ordinance of
of Georgetown.

6. Attendance Requirements: A member who, except in the case of
illness or extenuating circumstances as determined by the
Committee, Commission or Board, misses three (3) consecutive
meetings or misses one-third (1/3) of all regular meetings in a
twelve-month period may be removed from such Committee,
Commission or Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT any standing bylaws or rules of any
board, commission or committee shall not be affected by these
minimum policies if such rules or policies of such board,
commission or committee are more stringent than those stated
herein.
The city secretary is directed to send copies of this resolution
to all present members, and to give a copy, together with other
applicable resolutions or ordinances, to all new board,
commission or committee members upon appointment.
