Main Street Advisory Board of the
City of Georgetown, Texas
Friday, May 11, 2018
The Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 9:00 AM at Georgetown Public Library, Classroom,
402 W. 8th Street.

Taylor Kidd called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. Board members in attendance were, T. Kidd, T. Tallman, A. Adams,
K. Hill, D. Gaume, and S. Rodocker. K. Curry was absent. Staff in attendance, Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development
Manager.
Regular Session
(This regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose authorized by
the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.)
A. Discussion and possible action regarding approval of the April 6, 2018 board meeting minutes — Taylor Kidd,
Board Chair
Motion by T. Tallman to approve the minutes as presented. Second by K, Hill,

B. Discussion and possible action on 2018 Retreat — Taylor Kidd, Board Chair
The board will hold the 2018 Retreat in downtown Bastrop on Tuesday, June 12 from 8 am — 2 pm.
C. Project Team & Partner Updates
Swirl Project Team — No updates. Planning for the 101h anniversary event will begin in summer.
Shop Small Project Team — No updates. Planning for the 101 anniversary event will begin in summer.
Breakfast Bites Project Team — The next Breakfast Bites event will be Wednesday, May 30, Emily Koller with
the Texas Historical Commission will speak about DowntownTX.org.
Special Project - Fundraiser Project Team — D. Gaume provided a report of the new main street art coaster.
There are 18 Sales to date. Work on the collectible ornament will begin next month following the retreat. The
team plans to have all decisions made and the order started in September to take advantage of sale prices.
Tree Project Team — new team to start soon.
D. Staff Report
Development updates were given, the Stromberg Hoffman has a tenant although they have not announced the
name or type of business yet. Available properties for lease are: The Hollow space, upstairs at Stromberg-
Hoffman, Upstairs at Mileham building, One Stop, Atrium at Mikemson building, Lofts on Rock, Old County Jail
building, old gas station building on Austin Avenue.
Upcoming events include May Market Day on May 12, Chamber Breakfast Links on May 15, monthly volunteer
lunch on May 21, conferences in Georgetown —TAMIO June 6-9 and KTB June 11-13. Kim will speak about
Placemaking through Downtown Revitalization.
Upcoming partner meetings include: DGA — May 18, Arts & Culture Board — May 15, HARC — May 24, and
CVB — June 14.

Motion by D. Gaume, second by S. Rodocker adjourn the meeting. T. Kidd adjourned the meeting at 9:45 AM.
