A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS,
GRANTING A PETITION FOR THE VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONSISTING OF AN APPROXIMATELY 1.42 -ACRE TRACT OF LAND
SITUATED IN THE WILLIAM ADDISON SURVEY; AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION
OF NOTICE FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the owners of the hereinafter described area of land have requested the governing body of
the City of Georgetown, pursuant to Local Government Code Section 43.028 by written petition, properly
acknowledged, to annex said area of land into the City of Georgetown, to -wit:
1.42 -acre tract of land situated in the William Addison Survey, more particularly shown on
the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "B,"
which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the said Petition, being proper and according to law, shall be, and is hereby,
granted; and, further, the City Secretary is directed to commence the publication of notices of two public
hearings before the City Council on the subject of the proposed annexation of said area into the city limits;
and further, to place upon the City Council Agendas the consideration of the passage of an ordinance
annexing said area into the city limits in accordance with State Law.
SECTION 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest this
Resolution.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.

SURVEY, ABSTRACT 21, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF THAT
CERTAIN 2.961 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
A TEXAS HOME -RULE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, BY SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED
OF RECORD IN DOCUMENT NUMBER 2018050038, OF THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC
RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID 1.42 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING a 1/2 inch iron rod with cap stamped "STEGER BIZZELL" found in the west boundary
line of that certain 4.87 acre tract of land conveyed to Gene Lawhon by correction Warranty Deed
of record in Document No. 2009069154, said Official Public Records, at its intersection with an
existing city limits line, for the northeast corner of that certain 3.080 acre tract of land conveyed
to the City of Georgetown, a Texas home -rule municipal corporation, by Special Warranty Deed
of record in Document No. 2018050039, said Official Public Records, same point being the
southeast corner of said 2.961 acre tract of land, for the southeast corner of the herein described
tract;
THENCE, South 75"31'02" West, with the existing city limits line, with the north boundary line of
said 3.080 acre tract of land, same line being a south boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of
land, at 342.33 feet, pass a 1/2 inch iron rod with cap stamped "STEGER BIZZELL" found for the
northwest corner of said 3.080 acre tract of land, same point being an interior ell corner of said
2.961 acre tract of land, and continuing over and across said 2.961 acre tract of land, in all a total
distance of 520.82 feet to a point in the west boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of land, for
the southwest corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE, North 18'50'38" West, with the west boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of land,
same line being the east boundary line of that certain called 3.420 acre tract of land conveyed to
University Vista Townhomes, Ltd, by Warranty Deed of record in Document No. 2003089619,
said Official Public Records, a distance of 46.57 feet, to a 1/2 inch iron rod found for a corner of
said 2.961 acre tract of land and a corner of the herein described tract, same point being the
northeast corner of said University Vista Townhomes Tract, and same point being the southern
most southeast corner of that certain called 14.73 acre tract of land conveyed to Southwestern
University, by General Warranty Deed of record in Document No. 2000068095, said Official Public
Records;
THENCE, North 19`03'04" West, with the west boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of land,
same line being an east boundary line of said called 14.73 acre tract of land, a distance of 56.24
feet, to a 1/2 inch iron rod found for the northwest corner of said 2.961 acre tract of land and

the northwest corner of the herein described tract, same point being an interior corner of said
called 14.73 acre tract of land;
THENCE, North 71°05'32" East, with the north boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of land, same
line being a south boundary line of said called 14.73 acre tract of land and continuing with a south
boundary line of that certain called 4.217 acre tract of land conveyed to Gene L. Lawhon by
Special Warranty Deed of record in Volume 2252, Page 791, said Deed Records, a distance of
494.50 feet, to a 1/2 inch iron rod found in the west boundary line of said 4.87 acre tract of land,
for the northeast corner of said 2.961 acre tract of land and the northeast corner of the herein
described tract, same point being the southeast corner of said called 4.217 acre tract of land;
THENCE, South 28°46'12" East, with the east boundary line of said 2.961 acre tract of land, same
line being the west boundary line of said called 4.87 acre tract of land, a distance of 145.14 feet,
to the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 1.42 acres of land, more or less, within these metes
and bounds.
Bearings are based on the Texas Coordinate System of 1983, Central Zone (NAD _83 (2011)). All
distances shown hereon are surface values represented in U.S. Survey Feet based on a Grid -to -
Surface Combined Adjustment Factor of 1.00013.
The forgoing metes and bounds description and survey on which it is based is accompanied by
and a part of survey map of the subject tract.
