RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A DRAINAGE
EASEMENT RECORDED IN DOCUMENT NUMBER 2013090106, OFFICIAL
RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS; SAID EASEMENT BEING
MORE FULLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AND SKETCH ON
EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown has received a request from David Wolf (the
"Landowner"), owner of Lots 1 & 2 of the Gateway Northwest Subdivision, for the vacation
and abandonment of the subject easement located thereon as shown on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, an easement for the purposes of constructing drainage improvements and
conveying storm water drainage for Rivery and Northwest Boulevards to the north is necessary;
and
WHEREAS, the Landowner has agreed to grant new easement rights along an alternative
route to allow construction of the necessary improvements and conveyance of storm water; and,
WHEREAS, in return for the new easement to be granted, the owner is seeking vacation
and abandonment of the subject easement; and,
WHEREAS, upon considering the request for vacation and abandonment of the subject
easement and additional information pertaining to the request, the City Council finds that a
public need for the subject easement will no longer exist once the new easement has been
conveyed to the City, and that such easement may then be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the General Manager of Utilities, or his designee, has reviewed this request
and has no objection to the vacation and abandonment of the subject easements, subject to the
conditions described herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that the
adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any of the City's 2030
Comprehensive Plan policies.

SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed in
substantially the same form attached hereto as Exhibit 'B", and any other conveyance
document(s) necessary to complete the vacation and abandonment of the easements described
herein, and the City Secretary is authorized to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown,
subject to the establishment of replacement easements in a form acceptable to the City.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.

Being 1.06 acres of land situated in Williamson County, Texas, out of Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Gateway
Northwest, a Williamson County Subdivision recorded in Cabinet G, Slide 121, Plat Records, Williamson
County, Texas and being further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a calculated point in the easterly line of existing Washam Drive and the westerly line of
said Lot 1, Block A, from which a 112 iron pin found for the northeast terminus of existing Washam Drive
bears N 37045'35' E 61.22 feet:
THENCE: with the north line of the herein described tract in the following seven (7) courses:
I. S 51 °04'44" E 16.00 feet into said Lot 1, Block A, to a calculated point,
2. S 37045'35" W 30.00 feet continuing into said Lot 1, Block A to a calculated point,
3. S 10°53'35" E 42.00 feet to a calculated point,
4. S 66050'19" E 101.31 feet to a calculated point,
5. S 5114'21" E 128.76 feet to a calculated point,
6. N 48"03'34" E 223.69 feet to a calculated point in the westerly line of the remainder described as
203 acres in a Deed to Jay Wolf dated February 27, 1963 and recorded in Volume 457, Page
589, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas and the easterly line of said Lot 1, Block A, from
which the most northerly corner of said Lot 1, Block A bears N 2724'36" W 341,14 feet,
7. S 27°24'36" E 87.81 feet with the westerly line of the remainder of said Wolf tract and the
easterly lines of said Lots 1 and 2, Block A to a calculated point for the most easterly corner of the
herein described tract, from which a 112 inch iron pin with orange cap found in the concrete for
the most easterly corner of said Lot 2, Block A bears S 27°24'36" E 327.29 feet,
THENCE: S 48°03'34" W 388.53 feet with into and across said Lot 2, Block A and with the easterly line of
the herein described tract to a calculated point in the north line of Lot 2, Block A, Texas L.A.W. Addition, a
Williamson County subdivision recorded in Cabinet E, Slide 361 of said plat records for the most southerly
corner of the herein described tract, from which a 1 /2 iron pin with orange cap found in concrete for the
most easterly corner of Lot 2, Block A (Gateway Northwest) bears S 59°04'13" E 406.17 feet,
THENCE: with the southerly line of the herein described tract in the following four (4) courses:
1. N 59°04'13" W 10.46 feet with the north line of said Lot 2, Block A (Texas L.A.W.) and the
southerly line of said Lot 2, Block A (Gateway Northwest) to a 112 iron pin found for the most
westerly corner of said Lot 2, Block A (Gateway Northwest), the most southerly corner of said Lot
1, Block A, and the most easterly corner of that tract described as 0.400 acre in a Warranty Deed
