KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESEFTSs
COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON.
That we, 0. E. Johnson and wife Cecelia Johann of the County
of Willlamson,State of Texas,for and in consideration of the sum
of Eight Thousand,Sixty Six A 60/100 Dollars to us paid and to be
paid by the City of Georgetown as followss Four Hundred Dollars in
oash,the.reosipt of whish -is hereby aoknowledged and confessed,
t
and the execution of a certain vendor's lien note for the sum of
Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixtysix A 60/100 dollars in eleven
installments,the first installment of'Four Hurdred Dollars to be
due and payable on the 14th day of Deoember,1836,and,the other
ten installments to be due on the 14th day of December each year
until the full amount 1s paid,bearing interest at the rate of five
per oent per annum from date and containing the usual maturity and
attorney fee clauses and providing that failure to pay any install-
ment on same when due or any installment of interest thereon when
due,shall at the election of the holder of said note mature tt
--the whole note,and the vendors lien herein mentioned shall become
subject to immediate foreolosure,as the holder may elect.
It is expressly Provided,however,that said Vendors lien note
is executed and delivered by said City of GeorgetowngTexas, to sadd
0. E. Johnson upon the conditions that tht said City of Georgetown
,Texas,shall be bound and liable to the holder of said note to pay
the same from the reAtrevenues and proceeds derived Sae= by said
City from the real estate herein oonveyed,as well as the airport
to be sustained and operated thereon,and that said City shall not}
be liable to pay said note or any ;=iIthereof from any other of
its revenues; provided,however,that failure on the part of said
`grantee to pay any installment of principal or interest on said ut
note when due shall be cause for forfeiture of all rights obtained
by this deed,ard thereupon said city agrees to re-oonvey said
property to said grantor,his heirs or assigns.
And it is agreed 'acrd understood that said City shall have the
option and privilege of payAng the last four installments on said
note�the Federal Land Bank of Houston in satisfaction of its lien
on the land herein desoribed,it being fully understood that the
said City is not obligated in any manner to said Federal Lard bank

and does not assume or agree to pay any sum whatever to said
bank or 11 to any other person except the grantor herein,and to
him only as herein stipulated.
HAVE GRANTED,SOLD AND CONVEYED,AND BY THESE PRESENTS DO GRANT,
SELL AND CONVEY unto the said City of Geor getown,Texas,being a
minicipal corporation situated within Williamson County,Texas,all
that certain traot,lot,parael of land lying and being situated
in Williamson County,Texas,and being 40.1/3 acres ofX land out
of the Wm. Addison survey,and lying upon the South side of the
Texas State Highway No. 104 ( commonly known as the Gevvgetown
Taylor road) and the land herein conveyed being described more
particularly as follows:
Beginning at the S. W. corner of the 0. E. Johnson tract;
Thence in and Easterly direction,with said 0. E. Johnson's South
line 1375 feet to the East line of said Addison survey - Thence
N. 19 W.with E. line of Addison survey to the S. mar -win of the
said Higway No. 104; ;thence West with said margin of said Highway
400 feet ; thence South 19 E. 2700 feet for corner;'thence in a
Westerly direction,and parallel with the South line of said 0. Be
Johnson tract a75 feet to the W. line of said 0. E. Johnson tract;
thence S. 19 S.with W. line of said Johnson tract 500 feet to
place of beginning.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PREVISES,to abther
with all and singular the rivhts and appurtenances thereto in
anywise belonging unto the said City of Georgetown,Texas,its
successors and assigne,forever,and we do hereby bind ourselves,our
heirs,exeoutors and administrators,to warrant and forever defend
all and singular the said premises unto the said City of Geor ge-
town,Texas,its successors and assigns,against every person
whomsoever lawfully claiming or to mlaim the same,or any part
thereof.
But it is expressly agreed and understood and stipulated
that the vandor*s lien is retained against the above desoribed
property,premises and improvements,until the above described note
,and all interest thereon are fully paid according to its face,tenor
and effect and readin g,when_ this deed shall become absolute.

IN TESTIMONY WHERLOF,we hereunto subscribe our names at
Goorgetown.Texas,this the 11th day of December, A. D. 1938.

Before me,Jno. D. Hudson,& Notary Public in and for
Williamson County,Texas,or this day personally appeared 0. E.
Johneon and Cecelia Johroon his wife,both known to re to be the
persons whose names are subscribed to the foregoing inetrumert,
and acknowledged to we that they each executed the same fpr the
purposes and considerations therein expressed; and the said Cecelia
Johneon,wife of the said 0. E. Johnson,having been examined by
me privily and apart from her said husband and having the same
fully expained to her,ehe,the said Cecelia Johnson acknowledged
such instrument to be her act and deed,and declared that she had
willingly eigred the same for the purposes and oorsiderations
therein expressed,ard that she did rot wish to retract it.

day of December, A. D. 1938.
