TO PROCEED WITH CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS
ON LAND LOCATED IN BLOCK 49, CITY OF
GEORGETOWN FOR PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING
WAREHOUSE THEREON
WHEREAS, there is a public interest and need to construct
a warehouse in the City of Georgetown, Texas, located on the
property described as follows:
Being all that certain lot or parcel of land lying and
being situated in the County of Williamson, State of
Texas, in the City of Georgetown and being a part of
Block No. 49, as shown by the map of said City, and
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the N W corner of said Block No. 49;
THENCE S. with the W. line of said Block, 120 feet;
THENCE E. 45 feet;
THENCE N. 120 feet to street;
THENCE W. 45 feet to the place of beginning, and being
the same tract of land conveyed in a deed from Bicente
R. Camacho, et ux, to Manuel Lozano, et ux, dated April 29,
1972, and recorded in Volume 548, Page 509, of the Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas, reference to said
instrument being hereby made for all purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has attempted to negotiate a sale
of said tract with the owners of said tract, Manuel Lozano and wife,
Virginia Lozano, but has been unable to get said parties to
negotiate:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, that it is necessary and in
the public interest that said land be taken by condemnation through
the City's Power of Eminent Domain for such use and the City Manager,
City Attorney and other appropriate city officials are hereby
directed to proceed with the necessary legal steps to accomplish
such objectives
Read, adopted and approved by the City Council at meeting -
held at the City Hall in the City of Georgetown this _-9.th day of
June, 1975.

Re: Lozano condemnation case
Dear Mr. Wood:
Enclosed herewith is the recorded release of lien
on the Camacho loan for the City's file. Also enclosed
is the deed from the Lozanos to the City of Georgetown
Which I will appreciate your recording in the deed records
Of Williamson County, Texas. The property now belongs to
the City and all court matters have been resolved. A motion
to dismiss the condemnation suit was today filed and as
soon as I have a final cost bill I will let you know.
A statement for the balance on my services is enclosed.

The three Commissioners, Sam Brady, Charles Forbes
and Bill Edmonston, have scheduled the hearing to determine
fair market.value of the Lozano tract for 9:00 A. M.
on
August 270 a Wednesday. Please mark your calendar accordingly.
I will need to get with you prior to the hearing as there
are certain testimony that I will need at the hearing.
