(a) That the City Tax Assessor and Collector shill receive a commission of one per Qent (f 1 ) on the bond and varraat funds and five per cent (%5) on the general fund, for assessing, based on the t6tal amount of his tax rolls after the same have been made up and corrected and approved by the Board of Equalization; and he shall recdive one per cent (%1) for collection on the bond and warrant funds and five per cent for collection on the general fund, for all moneys collected by him. (f) rha t each Alderman shall re give four dollars per meeting for each and every meeting attended by such Alderman. The fact that it is necssary to provide for the salaries of City officers prior to the date of th'2140 election creates a public emergency and necessity that this ordinance be at ono passed and that it take effect from and after the passage and approval hereof.
