6th St. to N. W. Cor. of Block 37; thence N. to Rock St. to the
place of beginning. Same including the following blocks, to -wit:
Blocks 28, 27, 26, 36, 379 389 399 11, 42, 41, 40, 10, 49, 5U, 51,
529 99 39 29 1, together with all of the territory within the above
described limits; and all of the said territory is here designated
and shall hereafter be the fire limits of the said City, and shall
be known as such.
That the fact that it is necessary to increase the fire
limits of said City -creates an emergency, and that the rules re-
quiring ordinances to be read at three separate meetings before final
passage are hereby suspended, and this ordinance is at once passed,
and shall take effect from and after its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE TWENTY-EIGHTH DAY OF JUNE, A.D., 1949.

This area covers all property two blocks each way from
the Court House. The ordinance was passed to meet the State Fire
Insurance Commission regulations.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ABOLISHING RENT CONTROL
WHEREAS:
On this day, at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, a petition, bearing the
names of R. G. Eubank, and twenty-two others, was presented to the City.
Council for its consideration, asking the passage of a resolution
abolishing rent control within said City, which said petition is
as follows:
To the Mayor and the members composing the City Council
of the City of Georgetown, Texas, to pass a resolution
