City, and the City Secretary shall perform the duties, that are
performed by the County Clerk in State elections.
Section VIII, That the presiding judge shall receive
for his services in holding an election the sum of�; and that
each assistant or clerk shall receive the sum of �the same
to be paid by the City.
Section IX. That the fact that it is necessary to promptly
make provisions for the holding of the next general City Election,
creates an emergency, ai:d makes it necessary that the rules regarding
that an ordinance be read at three separate meetings before final
passage, be suspended, and the said rules are hereby suspended, and
this ordinance is here and now passed and it is ordered that it
take effect at once.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AND Rr;GULATING THE ISSUANCE AND
EXHIBITION OF IVALTH CERTIFICATES IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS
Section I. The term "food handler" as hereinafter used in
this ordinance shall be the same as that specified by state law and
said food handler shall not be employed in the City of Georgetown,
Texas until he or she has fully complied with all state laws and
regulations now or hereafter enacted.
Section II. No Food Handlers permit card for use in the
City of Georgetown, Texas shall be issued by the local health depart-
ment to any person now or hereafter required by law to have or
exhibit a health certificate certifying the holders freedom from
contagious, infectious, or communicable diseases until the applicant
for such certificate shall have been first tested and examined under
the recognized standard tests for syphilis; this test must be given
